The Simple Blog isn't your typical publishing outfit. We're 11 people who genuinely argue about comma placement and get weirdly passionate about forgotten novels. If you can tolerate heated discussions about whether a protagonist's motivations were believable, you might fit here. We work from Brno but don't care much where your desk is—remote, office, coffee shop. We just want smart people who actually read books. The kind that make you lose track of time.
Our Culture
We're the opposite of corporate. There's no 'synergy talk' around here. What you'll find: people who finish each other's literary references, a Slack channel dedicated to unpopular book opinions (it gets heated), and a genuine belief that reading matters. We celebrate weird ideas. We kill boring ones. Fast.

Start at 6am or 11am. We care about output, not when your chair gets warm. Deadlines are real. Morning schedules are suggestions.
Brno office exists. You don't have to be there. We've got team members in Prague, Budapest, and one person who codes from their farm (no exaggeration).
Courses, workshops, conferences. Take them. We give everyone 2k annually. Use it or lose it—though nobody's ever lost it.
No games. We pay 23% above local market rates. Health insurance. Pension contributions. The stuff nobody gets excited about but actually matters.
22 vacation days minimum. Sick days don't count against vacation. Nobody here is sick at their desk pretending to work. That's medieval.

Create cover illustrations for monthly featured reviews. 2-3 pieces per month. You'll work with actual readers' responses. Your art will make people want to buy the books we recommend (no pressure, obviously).
